Dayton roster will be finalized tomorrow at 9 p.m. We will leave Saturday morning, return Sunday afternoon.

Here is who I have. If you want to play (and we definitely need people) email me immediately. If you were on the fence about going or could only play one day, still email me, we need you too.

Please download the registration form. Bring your checks on Wednesday or Thursday, we need cash to pay our entry fee.

Travel will be discussed Thursday. For those going, we need to talk hotels or staying with a friend. I can reserve hotels, but the club will not collect the money for it, it will be up to individuals/small groups to pay for rooms.

If you are pumped to play, leave a comment. (you don't need an account or login to comment)

Registration forms - please download

I created a registration form and a bank account for the club that will make it easier to collect dues and so you don't have to remember $5 each practice.

Everyone needs to download the form by clicking here. Please print a copy, fill it out accordingly and bring a check made out to "Cleveland Water Polo Club." Players traveling will need to have this turned in before they are able to participate.

FAQs about the club registration

Q. Who needs to fill this out?
A. Everyone who wants to practice or play in tournaments for the club, regardless of student status.

Q. Where is the money going?
A. Dues collected will pay entry fees for tournaments, cover pool rental and any leftover will be kept for equipment expenses.

Q. Who must pay?
A. Everyone, regardless of student status. Drop in fees will remain at $5, but there will be a maximum of 3 drop ins before full membership is due.

Q. Why is the club moving to this payment format?
A. As more people come in and out, it becomes very difficult to track attendance and collect dues. This will allow us to negotiate low pool rental fees by paying up front. Also, during tournament season, the club must submit payments before an event.

Q. Where is our club bank account?
A. The account is at National City Bank. I am the only person with access. This can change as the club looks to create a leadership structure.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Sign ups - Dayton and Pittsburgh

We are confirmed for entry at Dayton March 1 and 2. Sign up will take place at practice tonight. Those in attendance get first crack at signups, after that it is first come, first served with preference given to players with better attendance records. Attendance takes precedence over email.

There are more tournaments to come, namely OU and Akron.

I need a volunteer to coordinate travel and lodging. Please contact me if you can assist the club this way.

Last week we had 11 sign up for Pittsburgh, meaning there are only 5 spots left (see below). If your name does not appear, you are not on the list yet, but I have already received interest from several people about Dayton.

Dayton
Host: University of Dayton Water Polo
Date: March 1 and 2
Cost: $275 per team
Format: 8-team, 4 games per team
Expected teams: Ohio/Indiana area, mostly colleges
Players committed: None as of today, some have expressed interest
- official signup at practice on 2/7

Pittsburgh
Host: Carnegie Mellon University Water Polo
Date: March 29 and 30
Cost: $315 per team
Format: 8-team, 4 games per team
Expected teams: some Ohio, mostly PA, West NY, mostly colleges
Players committed: (5 spots remaining)
  1. Steve T.
  2. Mo B.
  3. Larry K.
  4. Carl W.
  5. Hany Y.
  6. Matt Y.
  7. Tom F.
  8. Jason B.
  9. Greg M.
  10. Kevin Z.
  11. Johnny R.

If you believe you signed up and you are not listed let me know via email. I did not include people who have said they want to travel, but did not sign up at practice. (Please don't panic, there are still spots left) The goal is to include anyone who wants to be included while encouraging attendance and being fair.
