DUES AND ACCOUNTS UPDATE
Our Treasurer, Wade, has continued to keep records of dues and fees for CWPC. We appreciate the commitment of our members who have allowed us to maintain very few past due accounts. We will be sending reminders for past due balances in the coming week. Please email Wade with questions or concerns, and if you need to make a payment, you can use our Paypal.

PRACTICE ATTENDING HAS BEEN STEADY
On Sunday we had 12 players at HB. We have averaged about 10 the last few weeks at CSU. These are strong numbers, and we could use just a few more to push us into the full-court scrimmage range. Please join us, your attendance contributes greatly to our momentum as we near the fall tournament season.

WANT TO BE A REF?
Carl shared with us that the Ohio High School Referees will be having a meeting on August 8 and 9. Location TBA, possibly Columbus or Dayton. Agenda calls for a clinic/referee meeting lead by Loren Bertocci, the creator of Water Polo Academy. The clinic is free, contact is Greg Sanchez, Supervisor- Ohio Water Polo Referees' Association. INTERESTED IN JOINING CWPC?
We often receive inquiries from interested water polo players. Keep 'em coming, but just in case, here is a brief Q&A:

Q: Is your team men, women or co-ed?
A: We maintain one, co-ed team. Players of high school age and above are welcome to join us.

Q: I am new or I am out of shape, can I still play?
A: Our program is geared toward new and experienced players. Competition is not mandatory. Our practices are structured for skills improvement and for fun. Our players vary in fitness level.

Q: Where and when do you play?
A: Cleveland State University and Hathaway Brown School. Currently we play on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at CSU and Sundays at 1 p.m. at HB. The schedule changes quarterly with updates posted at clevelandwaterpolo.com.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: We set dues per session related to our costs for pool time and other expenses. The summer session running from June to August is $60.

My name is Tammy Bertrand and I am the local coordinator for PAX-Program of Academic Exchange. We are a non profit organization that brings international exchange students from over 40 countries to study in the US.

I cover the west side of Cleveland and currently am looking for a host family for a young water polo player who would be interested in hosting a student for the school year...I was hoping you could get his information out to your players and fans to see if anyone would be interested in hosting him for the upcoming school year. All a family needs to do to host a student is have a place for them to
sleep and study. The students have complete health coverage, their own spending
money and a desire to be part of our culture.

Sunday at HB

Sunday's practice is on at HB. Kevin will be there with the swim suits. If you have not yet paid for your suit please do so on the blogs Paypal. If you did not order a suit, but would still want one or a second one we can still order more, just contact me or Kevin about the request. I am also getting ready to place another t-shirt order. If you did not receive a t-shirt from the first order and still want one please email me with size and quantity. If you need a specific size that is larger than XL there will be a fee for the larger sizes. See you at practice.

Water Polo Suits are in.

The water polo suit order is complete, and the long awaited suits have arrived. I am bringing the suits to practice this Thursday (7/9) for those who paid. If you don't make it to practice this Thursday I will be passing the suits to Kevin or someone that is more responsible than I. Thanks for your patience and see you at practice.
