Welcome to 2011, and another wonderful year of Cleveland Water Polo Club. You have noticed via some of the previous emails that we have been working to upgrade some of our messaging to our members, with improved Facebook, twitter, and websites presences. We are also continuing on the plan to invest in the club with the purchase of a few more "new" training / competition items. We are looking forward to another great year, and thank you in advance for your support of the the club.
Practices - We will be kick starting practice this Sunday in preparation for our 616 appearance. As usual, we will be practicing at Hathaway Brown from 1-3pm. Additional practices will be added to the schedule as high school swim season comes to a close and pool availability continues to open up.
Dues - Dues for the Spring Season of 2011 will remain that same as in the past, at $80 for January - April (our standard $20 a month). Please be diligent in paying your dues, as they are the lifeblood of our organization. We would prefer that you pay via the website, however feel free to also provide checks to Matt or Kevin.
Registration - We will be updating our team registration with the new year. We will provide you the latest registration information at upcoming practices. Please keep your eyes open for it.
Tournaments - As of right now, we are tentatively scheduled to attend 4-5 Tournaments in the Spring season, and another 2-3 in June and July. As of right now the schedule of tournaments is as follows:
Spring:
January 21-22 - 616 Tournament - Michigan (Confirmed)
February -TBD - Bowling Green (Confirmed)
March - TBD - Dayton Spring Invite - Dayton (Confirmed)
March 26-27 - Ohio Squirrels Invite - Cincinnati
Early April - Ohio Showdown - Athens, Ohio (Confirmed)
Early April - 18th Annual Dogwood Invite - Knoxville, Tennessee
Akron Invite - TBD
Summer:
June 18-19 - 616 Summer Invite
Pittsburgh Masters - TBD
Finally, we wanted to thank everyone for their continued support during 2010. We have a great 2011 planned and we are looking forward to getting things started off right. See you in the water Sunday.... FYI we will most likely be headed out for a few beverages following practice.
