2010 Ride for Miles - Sign Up

As many of the know, our fellow member - Chris Coburn started a very cool event called Ride for Miles, which commemorates the life and work of Dr. Miles Coburn, Chris' brother.

This years event will be held at 10AM Sunday September 26. The Ride will again feature live music, lots of food and a 15 mile police protected route through the verdant eastern edge of Cuyahoga County.

Registration is now open on the Ride for Miles website (http://www.rideformiles.org ). The $25 fee includes a t-shirt, food and electronic registration. You can also buy jerseys ($45) and additional t-shirts as well as make an on-line contribution. All proceeds will go to support the Miles Coburn Environmental Seminar at John Carroll University and other environmental and bicycle safety initiatives. Registration and the starting area are on the east side of the Dolan Science Center at John Carroll University (pls see map on the web site).

We hope that you will be able to join us again this year for this 15 mile police supported bicycle ride through beautiful rolling hills in Cleveland’s eastern suburbs. Riders of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. The Ride for Miles is recognized as a wonderful family event that caps the summer with exceptional music and fine food from more than a dozen area restaurants.

For more information please go to http://www.rideformiles.org. Pls let me know if you would like a flyer that you can distribute to bike stores, community centers and recreation facilities.

I would highly recommend to everyone that they sign up for this event.
All the best,
Matt on behalf of Chris Coburn
