I am sending in the order for suits to Truwest on Tuesday. The suit will be dark red with CLEVELAND embroidered in gold. Weekend notes - 5/29

PRACTICE
Practice is on at HB on Sunday 5/31 at 1 p.m. We had a great showing Thursday, looking forward to another. Also, take a look at the poll at clevelandwaterpolo.com about an exercise physiologist, looking for more of your feedback please.

TOURNAMENT
Grand Haven, Michigan June 19-21. Grand Haven appears to be on the lake just a bit west of Grand Rapids. Cost is $25. So far I have Kittle, Kevin, Carl, Steve T., Audry, Kendra and Dan W. signed up. Please email Kevin to sign up ASAP.

REGISTRATION
You can use PayPal to pay your summer session fee or bring a check for $60 made out to Cleveland Water Polo Club.

PAYPAL
You do not need an account to pay on PayPal, just a credit card. However, some people wanting suits reported issues with checkout which we should have fixed this weekend.

TOURNAMENT: Grand Haven, Mich. June 19-21.
Sign up now for our tournament in Grand Haven, Michigan scheduled for June 19-21. Cost is $25 (a little extra via Paypal), you can register using PayPal here. If you plan to pay in cash or check, please email Kevin to secure your spot and bring payment to practice.


PRACTICE:
Another great session on Sunday. Please join us Thursday, 5/28 at 6:30 p.m. at CSU.

This earlier time is due to CSU summer session hours, so as we adjust, please feel free to arrive a little late to accommodate work and other scheduled items. (And a note to Cavs fans, Game 5 starts at 8:30 p.m., so we can do both)

REGISTRATION
Our summer session will run from June 1 to August 31 at a cost of $60. Our schedule remains Sundays at HB at 1 p.m. and Thursdays at CSU at 6:30 p.m.

You can pay using PayPal, but you will need to bring signed waiver forms if you have not already, and we also need to have everyone registered for the year through American Water Polo. Forms will be posted June 1, for those who have forms on file, we will not need another.

SUITS ON ORDER
If you ordered a suit a while back (mea culpa), the order is placed with a final design. They are from TruWest, and they will be durable suits. If you have not ordered now is your chance, please use PayPal at the left or bring payment to practice.

EXPERT SPEAKER
We have the opportunity to hear from an exercise physiologist from Cleveland Clinic Sports Health in June on topics such as injury prevention and conditioning. Please let us know your interest in our poll posted here at www.clevelandwaterpolo.com.

On Sunday, 5/17 at 1 p.m. at HB please join us to hear from Tara Harwood, a registered dietitian at Cleveland Clinic.

Tara is a regularly featured expert on local television, including That's Life with Robin Swoboda on WJW and recently appeared on ABC's Good Morning America in a story about Miss Universe models and healthy weight.

Tara specializes in sports nutrition. See her bio page. She will share with our team tips for integrating water polo into nutrition planning and training, and help estimate how many calories we truly burn while playing.

Please arrive on time to be on deck at 1 p.m. for our guest. You are welcome to bring friends and non-polo players who still would like to learn about nutrition.

We will have a normal practice session following our speaker.

Week of May 11, Special Guest on Sunday

Pratice is on for Thursday, 5/14 at 7:30 p.m. at CSU.

We also have practice on Sunday, 5/17 at Hathaway Brown School at 1 p.m. We will be joined at the beginning of practice by a special guest speaker, dietitian Tara Harwood who is a nutrition expert at Cleveland Clinic specializing in sports health.

We will share more about our guest speaker this week in practice reminders.

By popular demand, we will have a practice session on Sunday, 5/10 at 1 p.m.
